Fully local

Files, audio, your screen — nothing leaves your computer. No backend, no analytics on your content.

Private by design

Yours to keep

Outputs save as a local .mp4 — upload it to any LMS, YouTube, Drive, or just keep the file.

What you can teach with

Five ways to bring your lesson in

Drop in what you already have, or open a blank canvas and teach freehand. Lesson cards on the side keep you on script while you narrate.

PDF

Slides or scroll mode. ↑/↓ to advance pages. Ink persists across pages.

Image

Pan, zoom, annotate. Great for diagrams, photos, x-rays, slides.

Video

Frame-perfect playback with your narration mixed on top.

HTML

Drop a self-contained .html — flowcharts, interactive diagrams, anything.

Blank canvas

Infinite scrollable whiteboard. Pan, zoom, draw. Teach freehand.

Privacy-first by design

No server ever sees your files, your voice, or your screen. Recording happens in your browser, and the .mp4 saves straight to your downloads.

Structured, not scattered

Lesson cards on the side keep you on script: text, checklists, tables, MCQs, pearls, red flags. Click between them like slides — but smarter.

Ready for any LMS

Download the .mp4 and drop it into Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, or anywhere that accepts a video file. One-click publish to YouTube & Drive is coming soon.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need an account?+
Yes — you sign up first (email or Google), then use Studio. The Free plan is free to use forever; no credit card is required to sign up.
Do my videos or screen recordings get uploaded anywhere?+
No. Studio runs entirely in your browser using Chrome's built-in screen API. The final .mp4 saves straight to your downloads folder. Your account only stores your email and plan — never the recordings themselves.
What format is the final video?+
Modern Chrome and Safari produce an .mp4 (H.264 + AAC) natively. On older browsers that can't emit MP4, Studio falls back to .webm — both upload fine to any LMS, YouTube and Drive.
Can I edit the recording after I stop?+
Not yet inside Vivacorder — when you stop, you get a one-click download of the original .mp4. In-browser trimming and chapter editing are on the roadmap; for now, any video editor on your machine can tidy up the start/end before you upload.
What content can I bring in?+
PDF (slides or scroll mode), images, videos, a self-contained HTML page (great for flowcharts and interactive diagrams), or a blank infinite canvas to teach freehand. Pan, zoom and ink work across all of them.
What kinds of lesson cards are there?+
Text, Media (image/video), Checklist, Table, Pearl, Red Flag, MCQ, and Prompter — plus an auto-expanding intro and outro card. Use arrow keys during recording to advance.
Can I record my webcam too?+
Yes — Studio adds an optional webcam bubble overlay on top of the stage while you record.
Can I draw or annotate while recording?+
Yes. There's an ink layer on the board and per-card, so you can highlight, circle and annotate live. Ink persists across PDF pages.
Will it work with my LMS (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard…)?+
Yes. Download the .mp4 and upload it to any LMS that accepts a video file. One-click publish to YouTube and Drive is coming soon (Pro).
What browsers are supported?+
Latest Google Chrome on desktop is recommended (best tab-capture, screen capture, and native MP4 recording). Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers work; Safari and Firefox work for most flows but may fall back to .webm and lack a few capture options.
On how many devices can I use my account?+
Free and Pro are both 1 active device at a time — sign in on another device and the previous session is signed out.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?+
Free covers everything to make great lessons up to 5 minutes long, with a small watermark on exports. Pro removes the length limit and the watermark, gives priority support, and will add one-click publishing to YouTube and Drive.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Pro is billed monthly or yearly and you can cancel from your account at any time — your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
